You've got to stay organized.
When you are in sales just about the only thing you can control is your time... and if you are seasoned, your attitude. Here are a few tools that I use everyday.
1. Day-Timer Day-Timer's customer service is terrific. They are easy to deal with and they have products that will make your time much more valuable. Check them out today.
2. Outlook Microsoft Outlook makes a very nice contact manager and doubles as excellent email manager. It also syncs with Quick Books. At $109.00 it's a real value.
3. Quick Books Is an excellent piece of software for any small business, especially the outside, industrial sales person. I have an hp laptop in my service van than runs both Quick Books and Outlook. When a customer places an order I immediately print his invoice and log any other service call information. Very professional.
4. For attitude control I recommend reading daily and taking a sales or communication course at least once a year. Steve Clark has an excellent 11-week sales training tele-course. You've got to hurry though his courses fill up fast and are strictly limited to 25 students.
Here's to you,
Have a great rest of the week.
